Web Intelligence on the iPad!

Categories: General Dave Rathbun @ 10:28 am

They’re showing Webi on an iPad! Native reports distributed and interactive on the pad.

They also had a “save the tie” contest run via twitter, which will help some of the recent tweets make more sense.

    Dave,

Are you talking about XI4 Webi?
Would be great to get more than Explorer on the iPad

BI 4.0 Web Intelligence, running right on the iPad. It looked good.

Is it a third party solution or SAP? Are they going to release this WebI feature with this new BO 4.0? Do you have any idea by any chance?

Dave – I am testing XI 4.0 Webintelligence on an IPad and the reports look great although the interactivity is kind of tricky because i am so used to the right-click functionality and finding it difficult to use the same functions with IPad’s multi-touch interface.

    Hey Dave!
Just wanted to let you know, I have Xcelsius/Webi and Explorer available on my Xoom. The iPad is NOT the only choice.
    Hope all is well!

    Hi Dave,

we are also currently working on making webi work on Ipad, would you be able to help us with more information on how to achieve this? What is prerequisites for doing this?

thanks so much for your help in advance.

    Regards,
    Rahul

I’m not clear what your question is. In BI 4, Web Intelligence runs on the iPad. In XI 3.1 or earlier, it does not.

Actually this is not quite true. Web Intelligence on the iPad supports BI 4 and also XI 3.1 SP4 an above.

Thanks for the clarification, I did not know that.

According to SAP from XI 3.1 sp3 FP6 and above, tested ok!
