I’m just getting started with this idea. It came about some months back when a co-worker of mine asked for a copy of one of my older conference presentations. After going through the slides, the comment was something like, “Well, it’s just not the same as being there.” That started me thinking… what could I do other than posting my presentations that would make it easier for people to benefit from them? The answer, give them the entire presentation. That means being able to share the speech as well as the slides, and while there are a number of different tools to do that, what I decided to try first was a podcast.

So, there you have it. An idea that may or may not take flight, based on feedback, interest, and solving some technical challenges.
