Turn Off Your Freaking Phone…

Categories: Rants Dave Rathbun @ 7:04 pm

As a community service I present the first post in my new “rants” category. I miss being able to rant… I haven’t been able to chew anyone out for trying to export a Business Objects report into Excel for quite a few versions now. 😆 So here goes…

If you have a cell-phone with a nice LOUD ringtone of your favorite musical artist, and the ring tone goes on for almost a minute, and the decibel level is high enough so that you can hear it over the rumble of your Harley, then for the sake of everyone’s sanity TURN OFF YOUR FREAKIN’ PHONE when you’re not at your desk. Or take it with you. Or put it on silent mode.

Or next time when you come back to your desk you might just be phone-less.

There. I feel better. Carry on with your normal activities.

What’s the point of having a mobile if you’re not carrying it with you anyway?

I feel your pain. Mine is never off silent when I’m out of my house. When I run the world phones like that will be policed with sledgehammers…

So funny, I have a co-worker who is doing excatly that. I usually put my cell in silent/vibrate mode most of the time anyway.

Sorry, if i am posting my Question in a wrong Category….

I have a Question to you, If business objects Xi R2 is deployed in a Server, Please let me know, which service pack has been installed on the server.
    [whether Service Pack 1 (sp1),service pack 2(SP2) or service Pack 3 (SP3)].

Is there Any way to find it?.

Hi, and thanks for the comment. However I don’t intend to use my blog for random support questions, that’s what BOB is for. 🙂 Thanks.

In such a scenario you are perfectly entitled to turn off the phone. If the owner complains say that playing annoying music at loud volume messes up the battery.
